The Geotechnics field of study includes the technology of mining, processing, and finishing of mineral resources – high-grade and building stone, construction surveying and stone testing. The aim of the study is to prepare the graduates for practice in mining and mineral processing operations. The graduates master design in CAD and CAM, CNC machine operation and 3D technology of surveying, designing and 3D printing. They find work as designers, quarry technicians, surveyors, or geologists. They can also find employment as shot-firers, drillers, managers of mine rescue stations, as well as in 3D technologies – robotics, virtual modelling, volume modelling or 3D printing.
