Sculpture

The four-year study in sculpture prepares graduates in the artistic craft of stone sculpture. The unique conditions of this field of study, taught since 1884, offer broader opportunities in creative areas focused on spatial creation. In recent years, the field has been developing in the possibilities of 3D technology. The graduate is prepared to work as an independent artist or artistic craftsman in the creation of copies of historical sculptures or their own original work. Basic skills include technologically demanding creation of moulds and models in various types of material. The graduate masters the visualisation and project preparation of their own author’s design, as well as project preparation in the case of reconstruction of historical works. The acquired skills predispose to further education in the fields of liberal arts, architecture, and design.
